Walk and Talk Therapy
IN-PERSON IN BRAMPTON
A therapy approach that takes the session outside. Your therapist and you walk side by side in nature while working through stress, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm, in a setting that feels open and grounding.
Trauma-Informed Care
Culturally-Sensitive Approach
Compassionate Support
Sitting across from a therapist doesn't work for everyone.
Sometimes the pressure of a traditional therapy setting can make it harder to open up. A structured room, a chair across from a therapist, and the weight of knowing you've got 50 minutes to say something meaningful.
Walk and Talk Therapy offers a different pace.
Movement can ease the body into conversation, and being outdoors often makes it easier to say what has been hard to say indoors.
We Meet You Where You Are
How Do Walk and Talk Therapy Sessions Work?
Initial Session
Your first session happens virtually or in-person in Brampton. Together, you and your therapist decide on walking routes in Brampton, what you are comfortable saying out loud, and how to handle running into someone you know.
Personalized Plan
Each session is shaped around you. Your therapist blends nature, mindfulness, and movement to make the most of your time together. You set the pace of the walk.
Tools for Support
Between sessions, you leave with practical tools to carry forward. This might include somatic grounding techniques, breathing exercises, or CBT-based strategies that you can use on your own when things feel heavy.
Can I switch between walk & talk and traditional in-person or virtual sessions?
Yes, you can. Some clients find it helpful to move between formats depending on what they are working through. A difficult week might call for a quieter indoor session, while a period of feeling stuck might be exactly when a walk helps things shift. Your therapist will work with you to find the right rhythm.
You might find Walk and Talk Therapy helpful if you:
Feel stuck or guarded in traditional therapy settings
Deal with anxiety, stress, or are navigating a life transition
Tend to overthink or hold yourself to impossible standards
Find that moving your body helps you process your thoughts
Have tried therapy before and felt something was missing
Do not have a private space at home to speak freely
If movement and fresh air helps you think more clearly, this might be a great option for you.
Our therapists use evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches in sessions. Work focuses on helping you feel more steady in daily life.
